St. Philips Homes Welcomes New Starters

Renowned for a team of highly skilled, reliable and ambitious land specialists, St Philips Homes are delighted to announce the arrival of three new members of staff.

 

New Site Manager

With over 20 years’ experience as a roofer and lead worker, Site Manager Neil Westwood joined St Philips Homes at the end of 2018.

Neil’s specialist skill set and diverse ability in the field along with a strong work ethic and commitment to exceptional standards of: health and safety, customer satisfaction and build quality means he has quickly established himself as a key member of the St Philips Homes team. His keen eye for detail and vast knowledge of the construction process will help us deliver high quality products and workmanship. In October 2018, Neil took over as Site Manager for Harborne Place, Harborne. Neil has gone above and beyond in his duties and has excelled in managing the site.

Neil said: “I’m very excited to be a part of the St Philips Homes team. It’s only been six months, but I can already see that my role has made a big impact on the team. I know that 2019 is going to be an exciting year of growth and I’m really looking forward to being part of the team’s ongoing success.”

 

Senior Site Manager

We’re pleased to announce the arrival of Senior Site Manager Gary Evans who also joined us early this year. Having previously worked for Mick O’Connell and Taylor Wimpey, Gary’s vast understanding of the property sector makes him a perfect fit. Showcasing over 33’ years experience in a variety of construction projects, Gary’s varied role at St Philips Homes emphasises his expert skills in management and strong focus on quality work.

Gary said: “I am thrilled to be part of such a dynamic team and look forward to seeing what upcoming projects I can support on. My entire career has focused around construction, so it’s exciting to be part of something where I can see my skills being put to great use.”

 

Surveying Manager

As the team expands, we’re also delighted to introduce our new Quantity Surveying Manager, Richard Shelley.

Richard joined us at the start of the year and is responsible for cost management and procurement of our property sites. Richard comes to us with extensive experience as a Quality Surveyor. After graduating in 2007, he began work as a management trainee and worked his way up the career ladder. After spending the first 12 years of his career as a Surveyor at George Wimpey, Richard moved on to working for Taylor Wimpey.

Richard said: “My role is to ensure all aspects of cost are managed on site – and to budget. My role allows me to collaborate with both suppliers and subcontractors, as well as making sure that everyone works together to deliver high quality services. I’m excited to be part of a motivated team and look forward to where 2019 takes us.”
